Monday, November 7th, 2011Why Top Producing Mortgage Pros Get More Realtor Referrals…
Thursday, October 6th, 2011It’s true. Top producing mortgage professionals typically attract more Realtor referrals than low producers. That seems pretty obvious. The question is… HOW the heck do they do it? As you might expect, there are a lot of factors that contribute to their success but if I had to pick just ONE thing, this would be it… ...
Continue reading...5 Mistakes that Kill Your Wow Factor – and How to Avoid Them!
Thursday, June 30th, 2011One of the most important keys to success when it comes to getting referrals is “WOW FACTOR.” In other words, the more you WOW your clients’ and referral partners’ socks off, the more referrals you’ll attract! It’s as simple as that. I might also add that it’s simple but not easy. The problem is, most professionals are making mistakes that are killing their WOW FACTOR without even knowing it. Don’t let this happen to you! Watch this video…...

Tuesday, December 21st, 2010I just recently discovered a simple truth that has literally transformed my energy from living in fear and self-doubt to purpose, passion and freedom - where I feel totally authentic in who I am and powerful in my ability to contribute to others. It’s simply this: the more I face my fears and stretch myself to contribute at a higher level, the greater my confidence and the smaller my fears become. In fact, fear is the only thing in the universe that gets smaller the close you move towards it....

Monday, October 11th, 2010As you know, last month was “Back to School” month. As students began filing back into classrooms all over the world I couldn’t help but be reminded of how important it is to be a lifelong learner and continue to grow – not just in general knowledge, but more importantly, in character, wisdom and skill. We live in the “Information Age” where information is more ubiquitous than ever. We’re perpetually inundated with information through our TV sets, computers, radios, newspapers, iPads, iPods, iPhones, Crackberries, you name it. We’ve got info up the wazoo! Is more information really the answer? As Anthony Robbins once said, “We’re drowning in information but we’re starving for wisdom.” I couldn’t agree more....

Tuesday, September 14th, 2010Have you ever wondered if purchased Internet leads really work? Perhaps you can relate to the experience of this disgruntled LO: “Why are internet leads so damn bad and the conversion rates so low? Do these people really fill out these forms or is it all BS?”...
Continue reading...The Difference Between “Experts” and “Marketers”.
Thursday, August 26th, 2010If you’ve ever attended an industry training event, chances are you’ve heard all about the importance of becoming a “mortgage expert.” Sound familiar? While that’s true, it’s only one part of the success puzzle. Over the years, I’ve come to realize there’s a lot more to it than that. You see, you could be the most knowledgeable “mortgage guru” in your city, with a long string of alphabet soup credentials behind your name, and that still doesn’t guarantee people are going to be banging down your door to do business with you. In other words, it doesn’t matter how great your technical skills are or how ground-breaking your loan products are, your business will wither away and die like 80% of all mortgage professionals if you can’t market and sell your services....
